This wonderful June evening we met at Joy's home
as we celebrated 16 years of Book Club.
as we celebrated 16 years of Book Club.
In attendance:
Joy, Judy Lemmons (visiting from VA), Kanoe, Maria, Malani, Jamie, and Cortney
We searched for upcoming books that would fill our minds and interests. I think we did a great job compiling a group of books to finish out 2019.
At the close of our evening, Cloe, Mehana and Amber (our 2019 grads) joined in for a game of "Oh, Heck"
...played with Rook cards.
Did we start something!?
Side note, if you look up the rules to "Oh, Heck" . . . the www isn't so discretionary as to use the word Heck.
And now the Book Choices for the remainder of the year! Please let me know if you would like to Host. . . . . . . . .
July: The Sunflower by Richard Paul Evans
We are reading The Sunflower again. Favorite author, favorite one of many of his books.

August: The Man in the High Castle by Philip K. Dick
September: What the Wind Knows by Amy Harmon
October: Tell Know One by Harlan Coban
Another book to read again by a favorite author with a talent for suspense.
November: The Girl with Seven Names by Hyeonseo Lee
December: The Man who Invented Christmas by Les Sandiford
